The Humanitarian Energy Knowledge Hub hosted on energypedia is a knowledge-sharing platform managed by the Global Platform for Action (GPA) and conceived in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross and GIZ. It aims to support the growing community working to deliver sustainable energy solutions in fragile and displacement settings.

The Hub compiles and curates tools, data, case studies, project and stakeholder mappings, training and guidance materials, and other resources to support the work of humanitarian and development organisations, policymakers, researchers, private sector partners, donors, and investors. It is designed to build sector-wide capacity, support effective programme and policy development, and make tools for project implementation easily accessible to practitioners on the ground.

In addition to technical and operational resources, the Knowledge Hub aims to help stakeholders better understand "who's doing what where" in a highly fragmented and globally disbursed sector. Improved knowledge sharing and communication among stakeholders is key to enabling partnerships, collaboration, and collective action across the humanitarian energy ecosystem.

The GPA continuously updates the Knowledge Hub with new materials to reflect emerging evidence, innovative practices, and evolving sector needs. It serves as a dynamic, open platform for anyone engaging in the effort to scale sustainable energy access in crisis-affected contexts.

Are you developing resources, tools, or case studies that could benefit partners working on sustainable energy access in fragile and displacement settings? Would you like to partner with the GPA to create new materials or contribute to the Knowledge Hub?

We actively welcome collaboration and contributions from across the sector.
